The mission of the Gardner Public Schools is
for each student to achieve their highest level of academic performance as
defined by state and local standards at each grade level, within a safe and
nurturing environment.
To achieve this, the learning environment
will enable students to master increasingly challenging material with support
from teachers and parents. Students
will have daily opportunities to think critically, communicate effectively, and
learn independently and collaboratively.
We will provide students with the
opportunities to develop skills to become responsible, contributing members of
society. To this end we will include
collaborative opportunities among students, parents, and community members to
achieve this shared educational purpose.
Sauter School Mission
Statement
It is the mission of the Helen Mae Sauter School to provide a supportive learning environment that encourages students to take academic and social risks.
To achieve this, the H. M. Sauter faculty and staff will implement challenging curriculum based on state and local standards. Diverse teaching methods will provide equal opportunities for all students to meet grade level expectations and encourage life long learning.
The H. M Sauter staff encourages communication and active involvement with parents, guardians and community members. The school community will demonstrate mutual respect for all members.
To this end, the students, staff, and administrators will strive to develop a sense of ownership and pride in their individual and collective achievements.
(Revised
2000-2001)
The School Council was actively involved in the construction of the budget for the new academic year. Teachers submitted their requests with the understanding that ordering would be subsequent to the Superintendent’s review. The Council and faculty will be kept apprised of all developments at the state and local level that may impact spending at this building level.
