Cash, credit cards and checks are not accepted at the Transfer Station. Fees must be prepaid with one on the 3 methods below:
City Hall
You can purchase load tickets or bulk item tags in the Health Department office, Rm 29 in the lower level of City Hall. The office accepts cash and checks only. The Health Department office does NOT accept debit or credit card payments. Load tickets and bulk-item tags do not expire. (NOT ABVAILABLE WHILE CITY HALL IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC)
Online
Purchase on-line here. Go to the Transfer Station section of the payment website, purchase your items, print your confirmation page and bring it to the Transfer Station with your disposal items. Give your confirmation page to the Attendant. If you purchase a Transfer Station Sticker, it will be mailed to you as soon as possible. Debit/credit cards can only be used through the on-line website. Each confirmation page may be used only 1 time but they do not expire.
By Mail
You can order Transfer Station trash-load tickets or bulk tags by using the Transfer Station Order Formand mailing it back to the Health Department or you can drop it in the Collection Box on the front stairs of City Hall. Please include your check for payment. Your load ticket or bulk tag purchases will be mailed to you the next business day.
Gardner's Yellow Pay-As-You-Throw bags can also be disposed with no additions fees at the Transfer Station if you have a Transfer Station sticker.
