Mayor Mark Hawke
Gardner is a City on the move!
Welcome to the Chair City, where so many exciting changes are taking place! While Gardner is still referred to as, the Chair City, and we will always cherish our rich history and past, Gardner is becoming so much more than a good place to purchase furniture. Private businesses are growing, while manufacturing and technology companies are expanding.
There's a lot happening in Downtown Gardner
Downtown Gardner has been undergoing many positive, recent changes and there are even more to come. Several buildings have been demolished making way for future green spaces and parking areas.
Two opportunity zones in the downtown area have been established and approved by the State. This will allow investors to receive tax incentives for investments made in these areas.
Schools
Mayor Hawke continues to make our schools a priority. Watkin's Field at Gardner High School has undergone a major renovation including the installation of a turf field and bleachers and progress is being made on plans for the construction of a new elementary school.
