In accordance with the provisions of 950 CMR §54.02, the City Clerk will conduct a test of the City’s Accu-Vote computer balloting program on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at Police Headquarters, 200 Main Street. The test shall incorporate a “test deck” of optical scanner ballots for the June 30, 2020 Special Election, marked in such a way as to adequately test the computer program; demonstrate rejection of overvoted ballots; and test any other contents of the program which may have a bearing upon the accuracy of the count. The test shall include an audit of the accuracy of the test count. The testing is open to the public.

A voter registration session will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gardner Police Headquarters, 200 Main Street, to enroll new voters for the June 30, 2020 Special City Election. This is the last day to register in order to be eligible to vote in the June 30, 2020 Special Election. Every citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on or before June 19, 2020 and is a resident in the City and has not previously registered, may register at the above session. Citizens may also register utilizing the Mail-in Official Voter Registration Form or registering online at the Secretary of State’s website at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/ until the final date for registration.
